Has anyone ever blocked anyone before without even telling that person you were?

Maximum exposure to difficult people will be healthy if you learn from it each time.

Wrong. As far a instant messaging goes. You have the full right to block someone without reason or explanation. So go ahead and block.

If all people were relatively nice then people with AS would have very few problems in this world. The reality is most people are far from nice. What many people are labeling as difficult here would be consider an average person to a NT. So learning to deal with
such people will only make an aspie stronger.

As far as IM I was under the impression that only people you invite can message you anyway?

Not exactly, people can add you to their contact lists and then you can approve or disapprove. But you might never know that early on if the person who adds you is gonna annoy the hell out of you or not
It's happened a few times that I've just blocked people like that... for the sake of my own sanity.

Yes, I've blocked people who want to talk about sex or are annoying, plus a few classmates who I made the mistake of giving my ID to (they always said hello and IMMEDIATELY said answer me now and posted annoying smileys without giving me time to do so...)

^ Those things really annoy me too. I usually give people a chance to stop doing whatever it is that they're doing, but if they don't listen to that, then I block them.

Last year, I blocked a guy from college. He was really annoying, my sister helped me to discover that he was interested on me (maybe a romantic interest), but I don't like him.
