This usually happens when I am in a crowd my head gets very heavy and I start to look around but it feels as if I'm in a dream and they don't exist when anyone says hello I sort of say a half hello back and then I switch off and start talking in my head I'm sure people think I am strange usually when I am pretending to be NT this happens
People start to talk to me and you don't get much of a conversation out of them
This could be an anxiety attack. When ever I get an anxiety attack in crowded places, the world around me seems surreal and sounds become indistinguishable, including spoken words.

i agree with lgoon, it could, but most likely it's just problems with social skills, i feel that most of the time, unless i am talking to family or a close friend
