I don't have NVLD, but I have difficulty remembering verbal instruction- if someone tells me to do more than one thing, I just forget everything they say. I have also read that not being able to locate objects is a form of sensory/processing impairment. My brother (who is most likely autistic) can never locate any object when there are other objects around it. His brain gets too overwhelmed with the amount of information he has to process. Have you tried writing it down or making a visual/diagram? That seems to help some people with processing difficulties. I hope you can figure something out
