A Separate Place

You cannot find me here.
Here I may move planets and stars with my mind, and you cannot reach me with your sighs, eye rolls and shaking head.
Here I may dance and paint and sing, and your judging mouth will have no words to gossip with.
Here, when I sing, there is only the cavernous echo of the earth singing back, and not your pained expression, your embarrassed smile an ugly lie.
Here I am fully myself, the self you will never touch as you cannot see it. My light pierces your eyes and you must turn away, retreating to the comfort of the dark and familiar. I soar above, wishing you the brightest light your cave can offer.

That's a very good poem. Those words explain the way that I am. They describe the things that I do, though people might see some of my differences and the celebrating on the outside.
