Obsessions with letters, words and numbers

Ever since i was young i always had a painful fear or obsession with letters, words and numbers. I have poor imagination skills so i used to think that numbers and letters were part of physical reality instead of being man made. I also get delusions of meeting fictitious characters. Is anyone else like this?
