You think the color of your smartphone can distract you?

i dont know if its true but i heard years ago that they choose the black color on smartphones and tvs cause it less distracting than the white color and help you to focus on the screen, watching and reading. and offcouse because black it becames more visible dirty than white. you think its true?
whats better for reading and browsing?

I find a black surround less distracting, but the surrounds on screens seem to be getting thinner all the time so soon there will be none to worry about,

It may in some cases have an annoying effect, but I think most people aren't much aware of it and are able to enjoy what is on the screen with full potential.

I'm glad electronics went black from white. The white ones always looked so grungy after being used a little (white keyboards! OMG!) Maybe it's also less distracting, but I dunno.

I find white smartphones to be too bright. Black all the way for me.

Thanks for all the answers,i use a white phone but i kinda regreted to buying it. its very dirty now, the color is indeed distracting. its so distracting that i drop my phone on the floor once in a while. maybe its for distration with white color. my iphone 3gs it was very very rare to drop on the floor and it was black.
