I went to a therapist for an introductory-type session. Her comments were similar. She said my issues (sensory and need for routine, mainly) were interesting, and I was certainly "quirky." But when my mom asked her if Aspergers was a possible diagnosis, she said she didn't think it likely because I "don't come across as weird." I don't know whether I agree with her or not; I feel weird all the time, but then adults have always branded me as well-spoken, just "very logical."
