My mate's coming with me to therapy this week. Today she waxed introspective, and said that she had come to a decision which she was going to share with my therapist, to wit;
She loves me and accepts me just as I am; Asperger's and all. As far as she's concerned, there's nothing about me which needs changing or remediation. Therapy may be all well and good, but she's opposed to psychotropic drugs or any other interventions which might fundamentally alter who I am.

I don't think anyone has ever given me a more precious Christmas present.
