BTW I LOVE it when people start topics like this. I can see even things I never really thought about with my character. The stim part, for example. The plain description of a stim makes me want to say "HECK NO, I don't do that!". THEN, they give examples, and I think "WHOA, I DO!"

Well, I have to agree with a part of this. One of the things that led me to discovering AS was how many times I would read random ramblings by aspies, detailing their quirks, and suddenly it would hit me like a bolt of lightning that I did the same thing, and that it was something that I've always done, but never really been aware that it made me different. One that really struck me was that aspies are known to close one eye when exposed to sudden bright light. On the other hand, I'm a bit skeptical about linking absolutely everything I do to AS ... I mean, we do still have thing in common with "normal" people, right?
And to contradict myself ....yes, I love sitting/lying on the floor. It's my preferred place to be. If I sit on a chair, I almost always sit with my legs up. Funny enough, when I was a kid I would often pull my bedding off the bed and sleep on the floor. I prefer watching tv sitting on the floor. Reading/writing is always best done lying on the ground. In fact, the only reason I in any way use a chair is because its really difficult to use a PC for hours at a stretch while lying down. Can't wait for some radical new input device to address this obvious shortcoming
