I would say that I'm "poor to average" on puzzles in general. My motivation is quite low.

Average I suppose. But like SaveFerris, am not "into" them much. In contrast crossword puzzles are a more seductive way to squander time. Lol!

I'm pretty good at crossword puzzles----not great.

I can't do the London Times puzzle to save my life. But I do okay on the New York Times puzzle.

I try a cryptic crossword puzzle occasionally but am not very good at them.

I do okay with them, but it takes me a long time to complete one.

I like to think I'm good with jigsaw puzzles. I can easily visualize which pieces are supposed to go together, and I can even visualize the final picture well before it's complete.

Personally, I like both jigsaw puzzles and slider puzzles. :)

It's easy to lose track of time when you get started on one though, but I do have a jigsaw roller so I can put the jigsaw away and not lose my progress.

I have a jigsaw mat but my last puzzle was bigger than it.
Also I prefer wooden floor over the mat because I like to do the puzzles without looking at the picture and it sometimes requires moving big parts together – on the floor they just slide.
So I keep my current jigsaw puzzle under the carpet :D This way it is safe while not using precious table space.

I'm poor at them and I don't like jig saw puzzles nor slide puzzles.
