Hey everyone i just got the paperwork back yesterday for from the testing that i had in October of last year it said the psychologist thought that i was exaggerating my symptoms which i was certainly not the things that I told her in a test I took it to the best of my ability. What i don't understand is on October 31st of last year when i went in for the results why did she tell me she was diagnosing me with ASD, an intellectual disability and ADHD i don't understand it because if she fell that way she did not say that when i went in for the results. That's a bunch of BS.

So in the report you received, did she make the ASD/ADHD/ID diagnosis, or not?

No but when i went in for the results she told me that she was diagnosing me with ASD, and ADHD and an intellectual disability FSIQ score of 69. But it is not on the paperwork. I already have an appointment in February to see a Neuropsychologist to get retested. I just feel like I've been lied to.

I fully except to have my ASD license revoked when the paperwork comes through

Did the physchologist say they were going to talk to anyone else about you or consult your medical records.

I don't know how it works in the US but in the UK I was given a test and given feedback on the day ( the tester believed I had autism ) but I have to wait for the report ( in the meanwhile they are checking my medical records and speaking to my parents )

Now I don't doubt that you believe that's what you were told but seeing as you may have an intellectual disability is there a slim chance you misinterpreted what was said or didn't process it correctly - just a thought , I'm not trying to offend.

Call her office and ask a staffer gently if her notes will describe her intention to diagnose you with ASD, ADHD and ID. Your question will provoke the staffer to ask her, and that will suggest to her that you expect her to follow through with her promised diagnoses. If I were you, I would also ask if it is normal to wait three months for her completion of your assessment.

If the OP really had a FSIQ of 69 would he/she really be able to post as well as he/she has done on this thread?

The intellectual disability FSIQ score of 69 was based off of the test results from the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) test that i took. I tried my best on that test.

I have a niece who, in college, was tested for IQ and consistently received a score of 72. She pursued a two-year degree in baking, and recently changed careers to become a medical-billing representative. I am thinking that either: 1) she tests poorly, or 2) IQ really doesn't mean much at its limits.

I have tested poorly on intelligence tests, getting an unreliable 77 Full Scale on one.

I would do as AspieUtah said then as he is in a much better position of knowing the system stateside
