Apparently the guy in question was theorising about autistics regressing to the emotional level of a two-year-old because of stress in their first year of life. He brought out the old "what of there's a normal person inside, and we can bring them out with drug treatment".
There was no evidence for anything he was saying, he was just on his personal hobby-horse.
I'm glad someone called him out over it.
