What reason would someone have to lie about their age on a forum?
Unless you are a kid curious about what the "adult discussion" sections are about, I don't see the point.

I don't know... I mean some might, but it's not like any of us could prove that anyone is lying their age even if we suspected it.

As for why someone would lie their age, well... from my experience older people often look down on younger ones simply because they're younger and it shows as them not taking the worries and words of the younger people seriously, so that might be one reason why someone would say they're older than they actually are.

...Now that I think of it, I may have sounded like I belittle someone's worries because they're really young at some point even on this forum. Really sorry if that is the case; it's never been my intention.

The word "people" literally means two or more, bit it sounds like everyone

If someone lied about their age, they won't confess

Although it appears difficult to fathom what someone could gain by lying about their age
