Hello,

I wanted to know, how many of you got called "psycho" at school? Do you think that all kids who really get called "psycho" A LOT at school actually have a disorder?

Personally, in high school I got called "psycho" almost every day. I was always very offended by it.

I was called schizo. Psycho means someone cool and unusual.

I got called psycho once as a joke, they didn't mean it in a nasty way, so I'd say that doesn't count.

I got called weird though, by other teenage girls. In year 11 a girl who was supposed to be my friend got into a horrible habit of calling me weird to my face, in a nasty way. One time when she was sitting next to me in class she kept muttering, "oh everybody's going to start thinking I'm weird because I'm sitting next to you!" I had to stop myself from punching her in the face.

It is pretty hurtful when people call you names to your face like that. They don't seem to care how it really feels.

Yeah and then it's said that it's us who lack empathy.

I think it depends on the context a lot.

I get called psycho a lot at school aswell because of how I behave. The non autistic kids tend to find it funny that theyre all the same and im different. Embrace being a "psycho" because its better to be a wolf than a sheep.

Obviously but in my case, I was systematically called psycho by a large group of people and they did that to make me feel bad.

I got called weird, ret*d and stupid. When they found out I wasn't stupid, they called me "walking dictionary" and sometimes still got called weird. I made sure nobody could call me "stupid." For me, that was an even bigger insult than weird. I had to admit that I was different from the other kids.

I was called ret*d, pyscho and stoner in high school. Some of the guys in my regular classes talked about how they wanted to gas me, just because I was different from everybody else.

I was definitely called psycho a lot in school because I was so different from everyone else there. I learned to embrace it and make it mine. People stopped calling me that once they realized I stopped caring.

Haha, you should not take words so serieusly (a buddhist thing 8) ), so relax. :)
It is perfectly alright to take the word "psycho" as a complement, just like the phrase "Man, that sounds insane!" is a huge complement. 8)

Only my own brother has called me a psycho before, but only because I lost my temper after an hour of his nagging.

Far as I recall, I was never called a psycho, but many other insults and derogatory slurs were thrown my way. Mostly "fa***t".
