Don't me wrong. My current friends are OK. It's just that I wish I had more interesting friends. Like ones with the same interests as me; like someone who could interested in Sailor Moon, or someone who like Greek Roman or Egyptian mythology or history, or even people with cool piercings or tattoos, or people who like the same TV shows I do. My friends don't really match my interests.

Nope. I have such a variety of friends I never get bored of them when I choose to be around them. If I want to be around a different type of friend, I just hangout with someone else. Just gotta meet and know a lot of people.

Where in BC are you from?

I'm in the lower mainland & you can find all of those kinds of people here.

My giant time-traveling robot friend is always smashing towns and villages with his neutronium fists, swatting jets out of the sky like flies, and playing frisbee with asteroids. He's always bragging about how powerful he is and how many civilizations he's ruined. But he never creates! All he does is kill and destroy. He's boring and I hate him.

I don't really have much friends, I mean I get along with my brothers girlfriend, but my boyfriend well he does't like her as much. I mean she is rather young but she is 19 and so I feel she is mostly an adult who can make her own decisions but well I guess my boyfriend does not like how much younger she is. At this point he says he doesn't want her to come over because she's underage or whatever but IDK I enjoy when I hang out with her with my brother so I think its possible in the future I might like her to come over. I mean I suppose I will have to talk to him about it at some point, because really even if she isn't someone he particularly likes I like her and would like an actual friendship...but can't really do that with barring her from coming over ever.

That said I am not bored with my boyfriend but seems like he thinks we should have more friends but then rejects some people we could hang out with.

Kind of. But I can see how it's largely of my own doing. I'm interested in a fairly broad range of subjects but there are also millions of subjects outside of that range, and when they come up I can find it difficult to take an interest at the drop of a hat. I also keep away from people who seem like they might be dangerous, which tends to exclude flamboyant, colourful characters - loose cannons. I don't take enough reasonable risks even with the safe ones. I'm over-mindful of the damage I could do by saying the wrong thing, so I tend to keep it pretty bland. So I get the safety and anxiety-relief at the expense of excitement and freshness. It's not their fault.

No. I never get bored with the current friends that I have. They're the only people who've ever understood me.

Yep, can't be bored with friends if you don't have any... Not sure if this is positive or not, but I'm not bored of a friend. So positive in this scenario, trying to be glass half full here.

I've also had long spells of anhedonia which don't help my enthusiasm about anybody or anything.
