Only a phone call away.

Actually it was a letter from my employer, giving me a date for my disciplinary hearing for having a meltdown at work. The letter was sent recorded and signed for, so the rang the door bell.

I looked at the envelope, and the franking was cancelled with a stamp saying "Royal Mail supports mental heath awareness." I smiled at the irony.

Then the postman starts scanning other letters with his handheld scanner. It makes the most annoying noises possible. A short bleep followed by an annoying high pitched boing raindrop sound. I have been hearing this at the same time most days for the past few weeks, and it has been driving me up the wall.

Oh yikes. That's scary. And must be stressful too.
:(

Does your employer know that you have ASD? If not, now might be a good time to disclose. But how to do that without having it look like you're making excuses, I have no idea.

There was a period in my life when, due to various legal notices that would arrive by mail, I was a nervous wreck every time I got the mail.

I'm sorry you had that happen...and I hate those noises too. I hope you can get it sorted, perhaps disclosing your diagnosis would help.

I disclosed after my meltdown, but have a disciplinary hearing. I will just wait to see what happens
