Being Very Understanding
So I have aspergers and people mainly my friends have commented that I'm usually very understanding with topics/events that would usually get people absolutely livid, and sometimes I feel like that I'm unnaturally understanding, like I can easily see another person's points of view and I can easily see why they would feel the way they do in a situation, even in situations where the negativity is directed towards me, so does my aspergers play a role in this unusual amount of understanding or is it just my odd personality.
I think if you grow up feeling "different," you can have two different outcomes. Either you are angry, bitter, defensive, and intolerant, or you empathize with weirdness. Personally, I am sometimes a little naive about people, but I'd rather be that way and maintain an open mind. I'd rather be fooled or tricked sometimes, than be continually on guard and paranoid.
That said, I have developed much better radar for aversive outcomes for myself than I used to have.
