This happens quite a lot to me.

Some mornings especially when it is my day off I wake up and think I would like to go out for the day. So I will take myself someone and try and enjoy what I do.

Sometimes it could be on that particular day or it could be the next day. I get so tired, get headache and sometimes feverish and just want to be isolated from everyone and find speech really hard to handle. Either I sound angry and snap at anyone around me or get sentences wrong.

Hopefully be alright tomorrow.

But I make this mistake every time and have still not learned from that mistake.

I relate, but I don't get where you made a mistake.

I have learned to ration my social novelty, to allow time for thinking it over.

To me it always seems a good idea at the time. But it always feels like a mistake afterwards. Over the weekend I took a train to a town and walked around a shopping centre. The train was very crowded. I did this same thing a few weeks ago and with the same consequence. Over tired, headache and withdrawn from the people around me.

When you use public transit, you are committed for a considerable time, whatever transpires. I much preferred a bicycle.

I usually like to walk everywhere when I stay local as I cannot ride a bike. But this place wasn’t local so had to use public transport.

I'm the other way round, I plan to go somewhere on my day off but when it arrives I stay at home. When I do go anywhere, usually because I need something I can't get locally then it's ok. Mind you I start with very low expectations so maybe that's why I feel things go ok in the end.

I have three very specific social outlets: church, tennis and Toastmasters. These three activities keep me very busy all week. I have a great deal of social variety from activities associated with these three things.

If you are going to use public transportation go early on a weekend morning especially Sunday, there are much fewer people out and about. On a weekday, after 9 AM and before noon tend to be the least crowded.
