No, I am not talking about therapists or psychiatrists. As long as I don't get the help I need or be able to find it for that matter (although the problem is I am too mentally disturbed to seek and too exhausted to look for from all the searches), I will continue to be impatient at times

Any books, techniques, foods...?
And if you're going to say something general as exercise, can you please elaborate further on examples?

Thank you

one thing that really helps me is to slow my life down. Like literally slow down. Slow my thoughts down, my body movements, and really let myself visually soak up the environment around me. I find that to be one of the most helpful things I can do.

Books, drugs and getting amnesia are the only things I've found that can save me. Also this site: https://www.hypnosisdownloads.com/ and this site: http://www.clinical-depression.co.uk/

Two things that always improve my mental state:

1. Pets. I brush my cat or play with her, or just let her nap on my lap. Pets are much less demanding than people.

2. Gardening. If you don't garden, you might just try a walk out in nature.

I hope these ideas help you, but if not, please don't be angry with me.

I made a list of stuff that makes me feel better: Doreen Virtue books and angel cards, diazepam with alcohol (don't recommend), flowers, taking a rose petal bath with essential oils, this book called Carmilla, yuri visual novels, wearing white dresses or shirts, Chrestomanci audiobooks, writing in my journal, writing in my blogspot diary, reading antique books because the speech is more pleasant, spraying perfume, hypnosis, cleaning, massages, going to this butterfly house, anime, classical music, reading fairytales, kimchi my favourite food, cocaine (don't recommend), travelling and meeting people from the internet, browsing Etsy, my pink wand :s, pampering myself, fluffy things, orange juice, watching snuff because it makes me glad to be alive (don't recommend), grapes dipped in lemon juice, caviar, going to the funfair at night by myself, the circus, picnics, mindfulness, lighting candles in church when I'm desperate, tarot cards, smoking (don't recommend, learning Romanian, The Whispering Corridors horror films, playing violin and buying stuff from this place: http://www.akatako.net/ Right now I am reading a book about the teachings of Lord Krishna. Something I want to try is creating my own crises hotline. I got the idea from this book called Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. Another favourite book is Raggle Taggle by Professor Walter Starkie. The movie Corpse Bride comforts me but Lost Highway is also good.

That's all I can really share in public. I hope it helps.

I found a better understanding of the Aspergers dynamic than can be found in traditional therapy is helpful to take control of re-ordering mental constructs poorly formed during childhood. While this does not make us able to lives as seamlessly as NTs seem to do, it does provide a framework for improvement through manual control.

Yes. There are many ways to self help with healing foods & supplements - mainly probiotics. I've been sharing that here for more than 5 years, but, people here call me "insane," for it. Doesn't change the fact that it works & there's plenty of science to back it up, too. Give this study a read - it'll take an hour or so - and you'll have a pretty good understanding of how gut healing & balancing foods and supplements can in Fact improve your functioning levels: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5408485/

You know if the is something that I can't get done, like my novel, or house work it eats way at me like a succubus taking my soul. If I can get that thing done though it's does more for my mental health than anything.

Also keeping addictions to a minimum helps mental health in the long run.

Ha! You would be surprised what gets shared here. Have you read the adult section? Not that you should feel pressured to share, just that if you led a wild life full of regrets then you are in good company.

Raising my GABA levels was my best self help method. It will work for the section of AS people who have an innate deficiency in levels of this calming neurotransmitter, not for all. It worked wonders for me, particularly in terms of executive function and using my time productively. I have never had a seizure since raising my own levels.

Oh yeah....GABA.

That was a very interesting and enlightening thread in GAD.

There really seems to be something efficacious in GABA.
