How do you feel seeing normal people?

Whenever I see normal people my own age it makes me really feel down. It brings me back to a time when I had friends and I wasn't disabled and I could do things, I just feel really bitter.

Well I have a cousin my age I've been raised with. So it's been like a side by side comparison. I'm not bitter or envious, but I can see what I have missed out on.

I seriously doubt there are any normal people in the world

i don't feel anything because there's no way to tell if someone is "normal" (whatever that is) by looking at them

so that's that.

What is 'normal'?

How do you know when a person is 'normal'?

Why do you consider yourself not 'normal'?

Why do 'normal' people inspire you to feel bad?

Remember: No one can make you feel bad about yourself without your cooperation.

I can relate. Seeing "normal" (as in non-disabled) people my own age makes me feel like a loser, incapable of even simple social interaction. I see all the things I sort of missed out on.

Aw thanks :D ! I feel like I may have some potential to do well, but definitely not in any area considered "typical", like socializing or making friends. It has especially been evident this year. Everyone seems to have just magically become social geniuses overnight or something.

there aren't any normal people in this world, just people who aren't autistic. the "normal people" you see probably have their own problems, anything from depression to financial struggles to traumatic events in their past.

When I was 8 or so, the sight of them angers with distrust me.
Including my sister, and my mom... Just anyone who just fits in, really.

At age 15+, the word 'normal' is starting to become meaningless. Yet distrust hadn't gone away completely.

Until at age 19+, I began seeing them as humans. And humans are vulnerable, needy, fickle... Somewhat hopeful at best, and ever doubtful at worst.

To me normal just means ordinary and average. No significant disabilities. No significant physical or health issues. No significant mental/psychological/neurological issues. No significant behavior or personality issues.

The OP apparently means "neurotypical people".

NT folks are the vast majority. So they are common sight. So a person should get used to seeing them after awhile I would think.

Just about the primary thing that drives people to discover aspergers is feeling different from most everyone else.

An ordinary person, a functioning member of society.

They don't do anything to make me feel bad, but just seeing people my age living life makes me feel bitter.
