Im a facts thinker.

I'm very much a "facts thinker," though I think in the other modes as well.

What is a facts thinker?

I am a fairly extreme visual thinker.

I am a visual thinker but I can't say I don't think in patterns either. My thinking is like there is a pattern connecting pictures/movies/other patterns. I can freely browse the elements and put them into full screen visual mode if thats my wish. My thinking process is like spiderweb - everything is interconnected, I can choose to look closely at the knots or follow the lines, only glancing at knots as I pass by them.

What do you mean by facts thinking though?

BTW. Can anybody tell me what it is? I were gathering four-leaf clovers for a long while today (I found 16 four-leaf and 1 five-leaf) and now every time I close my eyes I can see random parts of clover fields, just like they looked like when I was staring at them. It's like a song stuck in your head except it's visual. Is it the true photographic memory, perhaps?

I'm not sure. I am definitely a visual learner, but I don't know if I am a visual thinker as well. I am quite decent at detecting patterns, but I am not so good at math so I don't think I am a pattern thinker either. I like learning facts, but I usually need to see them visually in order to remember them.

I think of things in a visual or conceptual way first. Then translating that to words is always a laborious, delayed, and stumbling process. I think of things sequentially as well. For example I remember in early grade school thinking of the alphabet as a series of letters existing or hanging in space somehow and I still of it that way. Plus I cannot tell you what letter comes after another unless I start at 'A' or a memorized mid-point ('L') and work my through.

Purely verbal thinking. I don't see any mental imagery at all.

Words and facts for me

Hmm...verbal and some visual details, for me.

I'm a verbal thinker. Even when I'm reading or typing, I have to imagine hearing the words in my head. I have very vague pictures in my head if I'm reading a story, but I can never imagine anyone's face clearly. I have an internal monologue going on in my head all the time.

But when it comes to learning something new, I like visual cues and to be able to do things. I can learn things by speaking them out loud, and I kind of remember the rhythm of the words, but that doesn't always help with understanding more complex things.
