I noticed that there is a consistancy in view to posting ratio. On average it is a 1 in 10 ratio or 10 percent, the range is from 8 to 15 percent.
There are some outliers put there where the posts is as high 42 to 100, but that is rare.
It appears that the more ridiculous the topic the more people post to that thread.
Such as " three truths and lie" and post a movie titke and replace a word with 'cat' all have much higher than average post to it.
So I guess my question is: what do you find you post the most to?

A good share of views are actually advertising bots rather than people. Certain keywords draw in more bots.

Oh wow! Haven't ever tried that! That has really fun effects! "Star Cats" "A New Cat" "The Cats Strike Back" "Return of the Cats"

I'd say the one that's most likely to get my attention and a reply is a post about some new ASD test that I haven't seen before.
:D

I'm far less likely to look at and reply to a post if it already has lots of replies. Seeing 50 replies on a post is kind of intimidating.

Why not?

Anyways posting habits.

First off if I see the subject is about NVLD or if it's started by someone with NVLD, I am there man! Like a fly on honey. I mean see all autistic people as my family, but I just feel a special closeness to other NVLDers. I mean that's just how I feel.

Other than that, I post in the parenting section every now and then (got my first son on the way). If someone is asking for help, I will at least check it out, even though I usially can't help at all.

One of my guilty pleasures is reading post in the adult section. I find it to be way more titillating than any pornography, but I don't often post there unless I feel really strongly about something. Otherwise I just feel like I'm sullying myself.

Because they're everywhere throughout the internet. I'd like to think the ones who come here at least have aspergers.

"Three truths and a lie" is not ridiculous. Its a pretty good gimmick to get folks to interact and get to know each other. Like a game of naked twister. But like naked twister I cant deal with it myself.

"Count to a million by threes" is indeed "ridiculous".

Replace a word in movie title with cat, is slightly above "count to a million by three". Not quite as brain dead. Acceptable if you're really bored.

Some threads are just too divisive and polarizing to even look at. Others are folks asking for help about something I have no experience nor expertise in so I don't respond.

I agree about the adult section. It's like reading the casual encounters in craigslist.

Ridiculous in that it is an ice breaker game and in threads people often don't get to guess the lie. But you are right it is way for people to engage.
My point being that people tend to respond ro the more 'shallow' posts than the deeper conversations.
Sort of like when NT's talk about the weather or sports. I guess it is safer.

I agree, I usually post on ones that have little posts in them. Which tend to be the deeper posts I like to respond to.

I post if something strikes my interest or if it is a topic that I am knowledgeable about and can contribute to. If the topic does not strike my interest, I don't post to it. Or if I don't feel like talking about the subject then I don't post to it.
