I felt affectionate today

I usually dislike hugs but today I hugged a lot of people.

Every morning my teacher hugs me if I want it. I did for some reason. I hugged her. It felt good today. Then I did it again at lunch when I was feeling a bit upset. I hugged my mom, therapist, brother and dad as well.

I dont know why I felt like that today. It was weird. I think I felt understimulated today.

I don't want to hug anybody although sometimes I want to be hugged. I would like this to change but not in a hurry.

Interesting that you're normally opposed to hugs but felt like it today. I've found that people like us tend to either be huggers, or not. But I guess some can fluctuate. Myself, I hug people - usually the kids in my life, and one of my Aspie friends as well as one of my Aunt's both say that I give the best hugs. It means a lot coming from my Aspie friend, because he's a hugger and hugs all of his friends, family, coworkers, and even guests where he worked. My twin brother, on the other hand, is not a hugger at all and always looks so awkward like he's forcing himself to try to mimic what a hug is supposed to look like when he hugs someone.

That is really cool that you hugged today. I know that people that you hugged loved it. I am sure especially your mom did. I am really glad that you enjoyed the experience. I love deep pressure bear hugs. They really help me feel calm and safe. Hopefully they will do the same for you. Sounds like you had a great day. That is awesome.
