I have recently noticed that I don't drink and eat at the same time , I always have a drink with a meal but I finish my meal before even touching my drink , it's like I am incapable of doing both.
Does anyone else have any weird drinking or eating habits?

If you've ever watch "All in the Family" (the show which Archie Bunker is the main character), you'll see a scene where Mike Stivik (his son-in-law) is putting his socks and shoes on.
Mike puts one sock on, then one shoe; then the other sock, then the other shoe
Archie doesn't like that. He gets really perturbed about this. He insists that one HAS to put on both socks before one puts on both shoes.
This sort of reminds me of this----you say to-mah-to; I say to-may-to

I measure everything according to packet portions.
I drink with meals in order, I take a bite of one thing first, then the next thing on the plate in order, than a mouthful of drink until finished, making sure everything is on my last bite when finishing.

I don't mix my food very often , I'll usually eat in sections , eat all the chips first , then beans etc etc

I don't usually drink anything until I've finished eating, unless I need to. When I was younger I couldn't handle it if my food was mixed on the plate, and I would eat it one thing at a time. I've basically reversed that, everything should be mixed evenly in a bowl. I can't really eat off of plates anymore, maybe just because I haven't done it in a long time, but if I use a plate the food ends up pretty much everywhere except for in my mouth. Can't do finger foods unless I can wash my hands immediately after eating. Chicken, burgers, pizza, juicy fruits... Really can't stand trying to eat and talk at the same time.

I've always ate half my meal, then drink half my drink. Eat a quarter more of my food, drink a quarter more of the drink. Then finally, finish the meal then drink the rest of my drink.

Usually I do that when I eat breakfast because I take vitamins in the morning (:
I hate mixed foods. I do not understand things like a sandwich. I love meat, I like bread, but I hate the idea of them together. I like eating one thing at a time. It is alien to me how if, say, you have three things on your plate, most people will switch between the foods. I must eat all of one item before moving on to the next. I have lots of eating quirks in general, but that is my biggest.
And kraftiekortie, I know that All in the Family episode you mentioned, and I, too, find it strange to put on a sock and then a shoe. I haven't worn socks since I was about 16, as I find them pointless and unnecessary tactile input, but when I used to wear them, I'd always put on both socks before both shoes.

I always drink to my meals and quite a lot too. I always have.
When I was little I really hated to eat. There was so much icky things in food, and eating was so boring. I remember one supper where my meal (bread slice + cold cut) were served along with a glass to drink. As a game my father told me "bit" or "slurk" according to whether I was supposed to eat or drink. I liked the word bit better than slurk, but I liked to take a sip more than I did a bite. (Yeah, I was always preoccupied with words). There were too many bites and not merely enough sips!
I always like to eat with spoon rather than fork whenever the food consists of small pieces. It's so much easier.

I used to have to drink some water before I ate anything. It was like I couldn't eat without taking a sip of water first. I outgrew that habit.
As a child the worst torment was going to the cinema and being given a jumbo bag of salted popcorn and a small drink. I almost felt like I was going to die from thirst!
