I will admit; I have become a bit reactionary lately to the point where I said I wanted to be suspended from this site due to an all-caps rant. What am I to do?

I'd tell ya, but if you want to be less reactionary you'd have to ignore me. =(

Are you reactionary to just the site or to everything?

You may want to look at your diet. I know that sometimes that sort of emotional imbalance can be helped with diet. I suggest you look in to eating according to your blood type. That might really make a big difference for you.

speaking of blood-type diets, it is said that type O does best with mostly carnivore fare, while type A does best with mostly herbivore fare. type B and AB fall someplace in between those two extremes. I know my vital signs didn't return to healthy levels until I ditched most animal products, and i'm type A.

What I meant by being reactionary: I am extremely short tempered and am willing to pick fights with ANYONE.

I have been punched numerous times by people; by my parents, cousins, EVEN THE POLICE!

I have been abused by the city police also, one of the reasons I am a hermit in the middle of nowhere now.

In my case mine is depression and being overwhelmed and just melting down and losing it and not being coherent and just hysterical about something and blowing it completely out of proportion. I'm not trying to be reactionary or pick fights (other thread there, thought's I'd mention it cause it's related) it's just me flipping right the f*ck out and I usually know I'm doing it while I'm doing it, I'm basically helpless to stop it because I'm so invested in getting my point across at the time, which I can't right then because I'm generally insane at that moment and I keep trying and making it worse.

I'd suggest you talk to a doc about some meds to see if there is something that can help you. Do you feel overwhelmed a lot and that's why you do it, or depression and feeling picked on or low self esteem, or just inability to control your emotions when they happen? Been there, done that. I know there is meds for it, and they work for me, at least these particular ones do. I don't have any right now, but when I get all the insanity out of my system, I'm usually pretty good for a little while. Till it builds up again.

With me, it's not being able to handle everything in life and all my feelings and the situations at once. So I flip out. If that's what it is with you, I'd really suggest you talk to a doc and see about trying some meds to see if they help. I had to try a few before I found something that works, but when it works, it's great. It prevents all this.

That's what I take that helps me. It helps even more when I have Lexapro with it but that's too expensive. Right now I have neither one, so I'm just trying to get by how I can.

I tried many different ones before I found one that helped me. The Welbutrin may work for you, but if it doesn't then please don't give up. Try another one. Keep trying until you find something that does work. Give it time though. It can take a month or so to kick in fully, and it's not magic at all, but it does make you feel better and give you some control and the ability to stay calm when you should.

I find for myself in any case [but others have reported similar results] that a gram daily of omega 3 levels my moods somewhat, in conjunction with daily exercise. it is loads cheaper than pmeds.

Confession: I have gotten the point where I have wanted to put my hands on a gun out of anger. What's next for me then? I sometimes feel like I am homicidal.
