Anyone else see the problem with that sentence?

Oy. My brain won't slow down and I'm too wired to lie still.

Oh finals; how you torment me so.

*sighs*

Well, I'm glad we weren't alone. *shrugs*

And now I'm and I'm . . . still hyper; yup, you got it.

Hmm, perhaps this calls for a party of some kind? Personally, I think we should stay away from the caffeinated stuff. :)

Actually, I think caffeine might help me sleep at this point... :? ....(ADDer  )

I don't HAVE to be up at any particular time. I just hate having my energy all wonky during the day from sleep deprivation.

Good point. I have ADD as well. Hmm, I might consider that after I get everything done tonight, if I'm still not calmed down.

I just got up from a 2 hr sleep so I could come back and finish my final project.
I just needed a little break before diving in again, so I came here.

This one's a problem though.
It's a business class and we were split up into groups of 5 students each.

Each group was to come up with a business proposal and submit a powerpoint presentation pushing our business idea.

Our professor wound up hurting himself a couple of weeks ago so we've been left on our own since... which basically means it's been hell getting everyone together.

The rest of the group finally got something together with all the information we've been compiling.
I wasn't present.
I'm the one doing the PPT so one member emailed me the 'documents'.

Here's where it all fell apart...

Reading the group's proposal/business plan... I realized I had seen it before! ON THE INTERNET! FROM A STUDENT AT ANOTHER UNIVERISTY IN MICHIGAN! I go to school in California.

So we have a case of plagiarism here and I'm left to re-write the whole damn thing myself so I can turn it in Monday morning... well, sometime later today.

I can't believe people still do this s**t!
All a professor has to do is put a sample from any document, into google and up comes the stolen paper.
I knew about it because I had seen the same document when I was doing my research.
Difference is, I didn't think of copying the whole damn thing verbatim!

Anyway, I need to get back and finish re-doing the project.
It wasn't that hard, and I can deal with this last-minute push, but it still sucks that someone in our group tried to pull a stunt like this.

My remedy for staying up and working has been to eat a whole apple pie, eat a tray of cooked shrimp, root beer, lots of water, and my headphones with Floggin Molly on repeat and loud. :D

I'm actually feeling pretty good right now. THANK GOD FOR ADD/HD! :hail:

When I go to bed my thoughts are always still going at 100 miles per hour. So I lie in bed for 4 or 5 hours until I finally go to sleep, but then there are only 2 hours left, max. And I know from experience that that results in me getting to work really late. So I just don't go to bed. Well, I do, of course, but only every second day. It works, because by then most of the time my body is so exhausted that it drags my mind down to sleep. But it's not very healthy, is it?

Recently I've been putting on headphones and playing selected songs on my iPod.
I think it actually helps me go to sleep and to sleep better.
I usually wake up later and take/turn it all off, then go back to sleep.

My former wife used to hate how quickly I could go to sleep sometimes... I wouldn't know... I was asleep at the time :P

I catnapped ALL Night last night till about 2 am when I was fed up with it and took a benadryll (never garanteed to work bacause your body gets used to it easily) and thankfully it was enough to push me over the edge into actual sleep. I have trouble turning my brain off at night I'm rarely ever worrying about anything I'm just thinking incesantly nonstop with no rhyme or reason to it. It's irritating.

I usually go through maybe 2 weeks without sleeping properly at all, and at the end of it, I end up sleeping on and off through 2 days and nothing else. It's not healthy, but what is nowadays?

I've been plagued with sleep issues all my life. I mean, I've never been up all night, but there have been times it's taken more 4 hours, and that's with Benadryl or something. Having a regular schedule where I only get like 5-6 hours of sleep during the week helps a lot, but not always. I can feel exhausted, but my mind wont shut off. It's not stress induced. Things just keep going though my mind. I have a terrible habit of taking Benadryl or something similar all the time, but I've never tried prescription sleeping pills. It's gotten worse every year, to the point where it dictates my life in college because if I stay up late with my friends, it takes me 2 hours or so to fall asleep, maybe more, maybe less, whereas they just go right to bed. So i bow out of a lot of social situations so that I won't be totally sleep deprived, and Im incapable of napping so I can't catch up like they can. I have similar issues at sleepovers, so i almost never agree to them, and it sucks. I feel like it severely restricts my activities, and I have to plan ahead according to my sleep cycle. It makes me think I might need to take a prescription pill, but it's not like I'm totally sleep deprived, since I get somewhere between 5-7 hours on weeknights if I take something and go to bed before 1 for a 9 AM class, and if I go to bed early on weekends and then sleep till 1 in the afternoon. I'm just sick of it. Melatonin seems to help a lot though, I'm glad i discovered it.
