I'm labeled high-functioning due to my verbal skills and IQ. But I personally think I'm more mid-functioning because of my emotional, behavioral and executive dysfunctions

I don't know, I'm hoping to find out tomorrow. Something similar to what you describe.

I put myself right between high functioning and mid functioning but would rather be diagnosed as mid.

I was diagnosed with Aspergers at ten and will be getting reevaluated for an updated diagnosis for collage.

I’m definitely high functioning/have Asperger’s. Most people that meet me think I’m just shy.

I struggle more when I’m under stress or am overstimulated. That seems to be pretty typical from what I’ve seen on these boards.

I would say I was high functioning growing up now I am not as functioning this may be due to social isolation, anxiety and depression.

I think my Aspergers was mid to high growing up but I think it would be considered high now. However I have other mental & physical disabilities that really limit me with some life things so I think I'm mid functioning with life but my Aspergers itself would be high.

I would probably call what I have "Low-functioning Asperger's Syndrome", if that makes sense. I know Asperger's isn't used anymore, so it's hard to say exactly where I am on the spectrum.

"High Functioning" -- Able to pass as NT, albeit "Weird" or "Eccentric".

Very high functioning when everything is going well. Can temporarily go down to mid functioning when under extreme stress or anxiety.

Btw. are these labels still a thing? I thought they were outdated?

I'm fully verbal and have high intelligence, but I prefer to think of the spectrum not as a line between high and low-functioning, but as a broad spectrum consisting of many different abilities, and you can be high or low in any of them.

I agree as well, but that is a little beside the point of the question I think.

I believe that I have medium functioning autism based on a supports assessment I had. Most people probably do not notice, because I currently have a lot of support from my family and Service Dog.
