Nearly every time I get an urge to sneeze when in public, it immediately goes away just as my lungs have filled with air and I was literally about to do it. I end up making a weird noise instead, which embarrasses me in case people think I'm weird.
But when I'm at home or someone else's home or even at work, I can sneeze no problem.

My sneezes are rather forceful, but if I'm in public it doesn't matter how forceful a sneeze is coming, it still goes away. So now when I'm in public and get the urge to sneeze, I have to hold it in to avoid making a weird noise if it goes up at the last second.

Does anyone get what I mean? I thought it might be due to social anxiety, but this even happens when I'm walking along a street with no people in sight.

I find it disturbing when people suppress a sneeze, like women usually do.
