I wasn't sure which topic this belonged under, so I figured I would post it here.

Lately I have been wanting to exercise more. But what I am specifically looking for is excersizes that will help me with my gross motor skills. (Balance, posture, and the like, but basic strength building would be good too.) Let me know if you know of anything helpful

I personally do dancing by myself. There are good Youtube videos where you can practice a certain type of dance or you can free dance to your favorite music. There is also biking and you can get a trampline for about $60 off of Amazon. There is also roller blading/ roller skating, and skiing if you live in a place that gets snow.

You could try martial arts. Something like Wing Tsun or Karate.

tossing big balls or something like that might help. That's what i did in to. I guess running might help. Not entirely to sure what constitues gross motor function

Strength and resistance training can help with gross motor control. They develop muscle innervation.

Gave a quick glance at Innervation training and it seems like it speaks to your goals while couching them in a larger discussion of bodybuilding.

Martial arts, tai chi, yoga are all good recommendations. Something where you have to focus on and fix your alignment, and where there is an instructor who will correct you. Dance--yes for a barre type class, maybe to zumba. Zumba is good for balance and coordination, but no one is going to help you fix your posture.

Fixing posture is really hard...I really also like swimming for this. I swim laps for cardio and a little bit of resistance training, and then I spend a lot of time on standing stretches or poses where I am out of alignment on dry land. Being in the water is a tiny bit of support and having less gravity helps thing go in the right place. I do repetitions enough until my proprioception knows it's the right place and can work towards going there out of the water.

Yoga is good for improving balance.

They are some asans especially the tree pose, chair pose, eagle pose that are good for balance.
