(This could totally just be a me thing lol)
Don’t get me wrong, I love to jump in the pool and go swimming, but little splashes of water or individual droplets? I can’t stand. Getting splashed on is terrible, and having to unload the dishwasher is pure torture. If its starts sprinkling I can’t go outside, yet pouring down rain I can run through just fine because then my entire body is wet. Like swimming. However once I get out of the pool and dry off, I have to change right away because I don't like the feeling off a wet bathing suit (taking wet clothes off is the worst) and I hate the feeling of my hair dripping water down my back. Even if I have a shirt on, damp spots on my clothes still feel really annoying.
And don’t even get me started on things that are sticky! Getting anything wet, sticky, dirty, etc on my hands is a surefire way to drive me insane. My parents used to joke that I was the neatest eater as a toddler because I hated getting food on my face and hands. And the terrible part is that as a kid I hated washing my hands because that moment before drying your hands when they’re just damp killed me. Especially in a public restroom that only had air dryers or super scratchy paper towels that never seemed to get my hands properly dry. That and I always felt as though I couldn’t get all the soap off and could still feel its slight stickiness all over my hands…
Maybe I’m just weird, but to me getting something on my skin is a serious offense. When I had time out as a kid, instead of putting me in the corner my dad used to make me hold my hands over the sink, and he’d pour honey onto the backs of them that I couldn’t wash it off until timeout was up. It drove me nuts! Which was obviously the point lol, but even after washing it off Id go around all day as if there was still honey on my hands and would constantly rub and pull at my hands like I was trying to wipe it off and it was all I could focus on. Anyways, anyone else out there hate that feeling of having water or sticky stuff on your hands/skin?

I have something vaguely similar, concerning washing hands only: ever since I was a kid, I couldn't stand getting my hands wet because I hate that feeling when they start to dry and your skin suddenly feels "too small" and dry. Even worse, when you get out of the pool and your fingers are pruned! If I have to touch anything with my fingers like that I seriously feel like I am going to die.
But I came up with the solution also when I was very young: body lotion. I need to get body lotion/hand cream each time I wash my hands. I keep a small one in my bag and plenty at home, I feel I just wouldn't wash my hands if I couldn't apply cream after.
It is funny because otherwise I always liked swimming/going to the beach or just spending time in the bath.

9BillionNamesofGod,
I actually don't like lotion...same way I don't like sunscreen or moisturizer or makeup. But yeah I hate pruny fingers too lol
Fnord,
I actually love going out in warm rain! Running around in the summer rain was a blast as a kid. The feeling of the rain drumming down on me and the way it tends to drown out other things. I just don't like when it sprinkles, mists, or rains lightly. Or when its cold, or hard, or your under an umbrella so its only splashing on your legs, or dripping onto your face and arms. I also don't like the feeling of wet clothes once you come in from the rain. Weird, right? I have to be either completely dry or completely wet.

I might have something vaguely similar, but much, much milder.
If I wear sport/technical/quick dry shirts on a hot day, I find that having my sweat bead under the shirt is uncomfortable. They're supposed to be good because they dry much faster than a cotton shirt, but the very fact that they don't absorb moisture makes them annoying because the sweat stays on my skin instead. I'd much rather wear a cotton T-shirt that absorbs the sweat, even if it does mean it takes longer to dry.

If it's raining, I'm outside, and I have a shirt on with short sleeves, I become kindaa homicidal. An I mean, literally.

Possibly Aspie (diagnosed by an autism expert, doc moves abroad, forced to change docs and all say it's schizophrenia NOS or schizo-affective disorde or personality disorders. initial doc was a colleague of uncle Simon btw. you do the math.). (edit: by Uncle Simon I mean Simon Baron Cohen. Just to clear things up.)
I really hate being wet. I can definitely relate, especially to the feeling of taking off wet clothes. However, at the same time, I am an obsessive hand-washer, so I guess it is okay for me under some circumstances.
