I am reading a book about play. Are you an explorer, artist, competitor, story teller, director, joker, or is moving around your type of play? I am an empath on the autistic spectrum so I can feel peoples pain. You do not have to be in pain if you are. As a child I did not understand how to engage in play. This caused major depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. About a year and a half ago I investegated how to have a more playful approach to life. I started exploring the outdoors, doing art, and reading a wide variety of interesting books. I credit my counselor for making me write down my feelings at regular intervals. He then had me draw and paint my feelings. When I did not do my homework the whole next session was about why I did not do my work. It just became easier to do the work. Being more playful led to me finally feeling the feeling of love and get off 6 psychatic meds. Lost 50 pounds and just ran my first race in almost 20 years. Playfulness works and improves lives at all ages.

That's really cool. I'm glad playfulness helped you. I like telling jokes and writing funny songs. I love Robin Williams and Weird Al Yankovic.

I loved to play pretend with my brother and sister when I was a kid. We played house and we liked to wrestle each other. We love to joke around with each other and with our parents. We also love hiking from time to time.

Being playful is fun.

I am definitely a storyteller, I have been my whole life. I write stories all the time, and my imaginitive play is always plot-based. I just don't consider play fun unless there's a plot involved.
