Do you find that you can be a bit of an observer especially in a situation that is new to you.

I went to an Autism Support Group this last week for the first time and found again like most new situations that I felt like an observer being on guard watching everything that is going on. I am going to keep going to this group but I reckon it will take 2-3 more times in going before I get out of that observer’s mode and also that feeling of being overwhelmed as well.
