Do any of you feel you shouldn't sing because you speak loud

I think I should never singer because I speak too loudly so I shouldn't sing because I would sing loudly. lol

No one tells Adele to sing more quietly.
Or Beyonce.
I've never heard of opera singers being shushed on stage either.
They sing loudly and people love it.

I don't sing because I sing like an amputee. I cant hold a note & cant carry a tune.

I can sing actually quite well, I just don't want to.

Singing has nothing to do with voice volume. I also speak too loud, but that doesn't mean I can't control my voice volume when I focus on doing it. The problem is that I can't think about it all the time, so the result is that my voice volume is often too loud.

When singing, your volume is absolutely part of what you focus on the entire time, because parts of the song are supposed to be loud, parts are supposed to be quiet, etc.. Even NTs won't do that automatically - everyone has to thing about it.

I do sing in a choir. I'm not very good at socialising with the other members of the choir, but for the singing itself, I think I'm pretty good at it.

I think Aspies, on average, are better at singing and other forms of music than average NTs, because our brains are wired to be automatically measuring the distance between notes, etc.. Of course, that doesn't mean all Aspies are good at singing any more than it means that all NTs are bad at singing.

If you want to sing, then sing!
