I have tried the search button but am not finding what I want. I know there have been discussions on sensitivity worsening in WP but can't find any and my sensitivity to sound is worsening.

The forum searching isn't very good a lot of the time. What sometimes works better is to do a regular Google search, but ask it to only search the WP forum (or whatever other website). To do this, type what you are searching for, then follow it with "site", colon, and the web address. For example: sensitivity worsening site:wrongplanet.net

Thanks. I did see some information but nothing current. Basic problem is that I'm just sick of it. Sick of noise. Sick of being sensitive to it and needing quiet time. Sick of getting to the point where watching TV is even hard. But then TV has a combination of noise and light. Combinations of things make it harder. Sick of being touched. But most especially noise.

Maybe I'll find excuses to take breaks. Do things like walk around the building where it is quiet or bathroom breaks where it is quiet or something.

That's exactly what I've learned to do over the years. The more I get exposed to something that I'm sensitive to, the more sensitive I get; it's a bit of a vicious circle that way. So I do exactly what you've suggested, taking little time-outs whenever I start to feel the pressure building so that it doesn't build up to the point where I can't stand it any more. I used to get really embarrassed about this, but mostly, I've found that people are usually OK with it if I just say, "my brain's a bit fried, I'm just going to take a break for a few minutes.". I always make sure that I've got ear-plugs and stim-toys etc. with me at all times too, as they really help me to let the pressure out.

"When you are fighting an invisible monster, first throw a bucket of paint over it." I love the quote about the invisible monster.

I used to know when I needed breaks. Now I seem to not know anymore. Maybe I will just take them every so often (not sure how often) even if I don't feel I need it. Maybe it will work as a preventative measure.
