I notice it when I go shopping with my stepdaughter or granddaughter. That look that says "WTF have we got here then?" I sense I give off certain vibes.

Sometimes. It's not always a bad thing for people to recognize that you're different, though. The last time I got that kind of response, it was from a librarian, and it turned out that she was very kind, after all. Later, while she was scanning my books she started a conversation about local history, which happens to be one of my interests. I know that her initial response was just that - a response, and not necessarily a judgement. People tend to do a double-take when they sense something different. I do it, too. It doesn't mean that they're looking down on you, if you're worried about that.

If they do I've never noticed. I'm not entirely sure I'd know what "that look" would be.

Most people now are very nice to me, even though I'm sure they know something is different about me. Fortunately, my interests, for the most part, aren't that unusual. I have a lot of friends who love cats and animals in general. Now that I do more everyday things and my level of function has improved from that of years ago, I am not seen as so odd.

Yes. It's horrible

They look at me like they hate me and want to harm me because I'm odd

Other females look at me like I'm a freak. Or rather, they stare at me for some reason, but I have been working on my body language and posture and sense of fashion since I was 18, so I don't expect any odd stares. But each time I get a stare from another female, it disturbs me and makes me not want to go out.

And, no, I don't stare at them. In fact I don't make eye contact with strangers at all, but I can usually sense if someone is staring at me and when I go to glance quickly at them I find I am right, they are staring right at my eyes. I really don't see the need for that, especially if I wasn't looking at them in the first place. Us Aspies are always told that it's rude to stare at people and it's also inappropriate to stare, but others seem to have no problem staring at us.

I have a pale complexion which is the result of other health problems I have, but I do receive strange looks from men and women alike. At first I thought it was because of my paleness but now I have a feeling it's because of the Autism. They give me a look that tells me they know I'm different and they stare all over me like I'm some kind of monster, it's really off putting and makes me upset and not want to go out. But you can't be put off by others negativity so I'm trying to learn to just ignore the looks now.

When people look at me, I have no idea what they are thinking unless they tell me. Even then, I can never be 100% sure.

I do get rude stares at times when I'm just doing typical things. Or occasionally a group of teenagers shouting insults from a passing car. That's fun :)

I haven't really noticed if they give me that look or not. I'm too busy enjoying my own life to notice such petty things.

I rarely notice that if someone thought I'm odd.
But I'll initially assume that they all do think so regardless of the circumstances, or what supposedly the conclusion they have in mind.

But one thing is certain in my case; sneezing loudly, voluntarily or involuntarily done, and no matter why it was or who did it, is disgusting. And the person who did is very likely becomes a turn off no matter how good they are with the 'vibes' and 'synch', to be a tolerated annoyance at best. :x

I'm way to much in my own head to notice if anyone is looking at me.
