One time in kindergarten I did something really dumb.

I was behind a girl and the teacher was talking so I bit the girl's hair to "prank on her" then I got yelled at by the teacher and tried to defend my position

When I was that age I used to sometimes let my tongue hang out unconsciously. Maybe an autistic thing, I'm not really sure? One day in kindergarten, I was sitting there in class, minding my own business, when the teacher looked over at me.

"How rude!" she exclaimed.

I didn't even know what "rude" meant at the time, but it was clear from her reaction that it was a bad thing. I remember she took me into the bathroom and made me make faces at myself in the mirror to teach me a lesson. All I really learned from the exercise is that she was hypersensitive to perceived facial slights. And kind of mean, to boot.

Biting people is not generally considered an acceptable thing to do. even as a prank.

We all did pretty dumb things when we were really young. But it doesn't make them any less embarrassing when we remember them.

Like when I had an unusual attachment to a pink bunny costume my mom once made me for Halloween. I wanted to wear it all the time and pretend I was a bunny hopping around, even outdoors! Possibly an Aspie thing, but lots of little kids have a "security object" like a blankie or a book they want read to them even if they've heard it a trillion times already.

But that's pretty harmless compared to biting someone. The human mouth is a filthy cesspool of germs so a human bite can be worse than a bite from a non-rabid cat or dog, and it's generally considered assault.

I'm sure most people can think of some stupid things that they did as a kid. Biting hair shouldn't cause any pain as hair doesn't have nerves. Otherwise we couldn't have a haircut. It's still a creepy thing to do though. Having hair in the mouth is pretty yukky. I would wash my mouth thoroughly after that.

It's not a great thing to do....especially from the girl's standpoint.

However, you were 5 or 6 years old. All kids do dumb things. I hope you're not letting this ruin your day.

As long as you don't do this sort of thing NOW.

I figured you didn't.

I would chalk it up as a funny memory of how you were as a young kid. And a reminder of how far you have come since then.

I'm sure the girl bears no ill feelings towards you--unless she's nuts!

It's a good thing you didn't bite her in the butt.

Don't worry about it. I've done tons of dumb things when I was in kindergarten. I'll name some of them. Some of them are actually quite funny.

-I remember that I wanted to pee standing up like the boys. When I was about to do it, my teacher caught me before I did it and she told me that I couldn't do it that way.

-I also remember speaking in a loud yodeling voice because I learned it from my favorite movie character.

-I talked to myself out loud in class.

-I asked the teacher why I couldn't go into the boys bathroom. She said that I would lose a star and get a call home. I wanted to go in there because I thought it'd be more interesting than the girls bathroom.

-I would make up my own version of the Pledge of Allegiance and all the other kids would laugh.

-I pulled the bottoms of my pants onto my shoes to make it look like I had footie pjs.

-I used to stick my tongue out at people for no good reason

One day when I was in Kindergarten, a classmate and I thought it would be a great idea to sniff each others butts. We took turns getting behind each other, smelling each others butts. The teacher's aide yelled, "Shelby and Linda! Quit doing that!"

You were only a little kid then. Lots of little kids do inappropriate things like that. I remember when I was little there was this girl who used to pinch other children's butts, including mine. The girl thought it was funny, but looking back it was kind of weird.

Kindergarten was the year that all of my shortcomings and differences became apparent to others. Not only did I come to school speaking a different language, I was also younger and less mature overall. I was intelligent enough to qualify for kindergarten at four, but not socially mature enough. I would have done better if I had waited a year to become more proficient in both English and social skills.

I was obsessed with animals, particularly horses and cats, and talked about them constantly. I had a stuffed toy Siamese cat I brought to school with me.

This is known as a necrobump. If you're opening a topic of discussion and it's still relevant, that's fine. But if you are trying to share with the OP, it's pointless.
