Okay, this is a game, where it originated from china, it involves tiles, doing certian patterns, with different colors, different numbers, and everything has to be lined up a certian way. Also every pattern has to be a certian way, with certian colors, and certian numbers. I just got done playing it with my mother and bf, and realized wow, this game is really great for autistics, no wonder i love it soooooo much haha. Its all visual, make certian patterns like i said, you get to line up tiles, stack tiles, it has to do with numbers, pictures and colors as well.

I find it very relaxing, and very easy to play, and my little autie self inside me is happy as well so its like its satisfying every one of my needs haha. I mean what can be better then a game that you have to line up, has colors, numbers, pictures, and the best part of it all is the name mah jongg lol, dont ask me why hehehe. Anybody ever heard of mah jongg? if so whats your thoughts on the game? oh and by the way its not the mah jongg on most computer games where you match tiles, even though thats fun as well hehe.

Below is three pictures of what the game looks like...

I've played it. I was a teenager and learned to play it at a party I went to with my parents. They had taken a Chinese class and the teacher invited all the students over. I liked it and wanted to play again, but never had the chance. I generally like games such as board games or similar things.

Yeah, its definitely good stuff. I ended up even, geez...like a couple years ago...getting some Mahjong games from BigFish.com. They've even got a 3D Mahjong that can completely rotate 360, all the way around, only trouble is of course it can be a little hard on the eyes after a while.

I dont' play it but lots of ppl here play. It's like horse racing. They often bet money on it. There is usually a mar jong house or two in every town. I hear it's a good game.

Am rubbish at the computer game version,am have been trying to play it since the net yaroze versions on the playstation,it's the way tiles won't pair up am have the problem with.
sisters' boyfriend takes over the pc at parents' house every weekend to play the vista version of mah jong.

How different is the normal mah jong to the computer game one?
easier or harder to understand?

The version on the computer isnt always the same as the one you play in person, i love it, its very easy to learn especially if your a visual learner!

I really like it, too, though sometimes I find that I lack the mental fluidity to be really good at it. An excellent player can see when their hand isn't working and switch to a different one, but I often find that I like to settle in on something definite early on and have a hard time changing from that. I used to be better than I am now, though, as I'm currently out of practice. I'm really more a verbal thinker than a visual thinker, but I like it because I like statistics and probabilities. I used to be pretty good at approximating how likely a certain hand was in my head. It's like poker that way, only more complex and interesting. I like it when the game is actually moving well. Last week, my mom took me to her mah jongg group, but the other people there were very ADD the entire game and not really paying much attention to what was going on. Plus, they were talking about boring topics. The game is still fun when everyone else there is focused on the game, though.

I've only played it on the computer and on my Sega Master System but never in real life. I've been playing the game since I was 13. I found it very fun.

Yes, I play Mah Jong titans on my computer too. It's addictive at first, but now I have it under control. :)

Mah Jong should be illegal, but that's only because I've spent at least six months (If I add up all my time) playing it. The Windows version was easy. The LINUX version is impossible! But I keep trying. Oh, wasted life, wherefor hast thou gone?

I used to spend hours and hours playing the computer version as a kid. I really love it.

(Anyone know where you can download an old-school shareware type version of it? i.e. that isn't going to break copyrights?)
