Is recalling the many times I've made people laugh so hard I practically have to ask them if they're going to be Okay. :D

Seriously. I think it's awesome. I have made so many people laugh so damned hard with my "Autistic sense of humour*," & I absolutely  recalling the visual memories of them bursting out laughing so hard that they're practically doubled over trying to catch their breath. 8)

*I'm not suggesting there's a singular well defined "Autistic sense of humour," only that I Know mine is greatly influenced by my diagnosis. I notice it myself, and others have commented on it but don't know the why/how.. but yeah, I'm often LIGHTENING quit-witted & have very detailed commentary on the situation at hand in a mere split second whereas it may take someone else a Very Long Time to come up with my responses - which is part of what gets the laughs, tbh, - damned near instantaneous Timing.

Over the last week or so I've found myself recalling several instances of the Best jokes with old coworkers, bosses, family members etc and re-watching them damned near piss themselves laughing & it truly is entertaining. I'll be at work doing my thing and one of these memories will surface and I can't help but just smile or laugh to myself, which keeps me in pretty good spirits when I'm doing a rather mundane task.

Anyways, that's mine. You're welcome to consciously try it out for yourself if it's not something you've ever found yourself doing.

HBU? Any other fantastic uses for a visual memory that you appreciate?

I particularly like the way I'm able to pull up clips from movies and TV shows in my head and watch them over and over; it gives me endless amounts of entertainment, not to mention it impresses people at parties!

Making people laugh their ass off is definitely one of the most enjoyable aspects of life, but I don't really remember what it looks like since I don't tend to look at people while talking to them, and many times it is over text since I have more time to think of what to say. I do have a really great visual memory when it comes to identifying makes, models, and years of cars though I don't know how useful that is. I guess if I ever witness a hit and run I will be able to identify the what car hit me and run when I give the description to the police lol.

People usually laugh with me----though I didn't mean to make them laugh.

I like being able to put together scenarios in my head of characters I like. I also really like when I become invested in a book because It plays in my head so vividly it's like I'm watching a movie. For me, being visual is really good for creative outlets like writing and drawing (two things I'm fond of).

It's also cool remembering strangely specific instances from the past. I quite like that. It freaks people out sometimes. It's quite ironic because my short term memory is terrible while my long term memory is really vivid.

Ooooh, yes, the book “Ender’s Game,” was like this for me. 8)

And yeah, I’m the exact same way with my memory.
