Why Aspergers can have a problem with breathing? Last night, I had shorten of breath.

That wouldn’t be connected to your Asperger’s. You really need to talk to your doctor about that. Did you wake up from sleep from having trouble breathing?

The stress of being an Aspie like all stress can make one vulnerable to physical illnesses but Aspergers do not cause them.

Most shortness of breath is caused by heart or lung problems. Anxiety a common co morbid of autism and panic attacks can cause them too.

Assume a physical symptom is being caused by a physical illness and see a doctor to find or rule out a physical cause.

For me this time of year that would likely be due to springtime allergies.

This is a long shot, but do you have allergies?
Took me most of my life to work out I had a problem with gluten, which causes me breathing problems at night.
