I get mocked for being autistic. what should I do
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and so far I've been feeling "at home" speaking with people here on this forum.
I have Asperger diagnosed by a psychiatrist and a psychologist and at the moment in my early adulthood.
I have different issues apart from Asperger (social anxiety, ADHD) and it happened to me 2 years ago that I suffered from a psychotic event where I lost myself and I was found (luckily) by the police who brought me home. (they called my parents and they came to pick me up, around 100 km ,60-70 miles idk from my home.)
The problem about this history obviously is that, living in a country where everyone knows everything about everyone's else like Italy, people passed the word around and I get mocked in everyday life for being "the crazy guy, autistic" and everytime I try to say something to someone in my city (which is very small, 30,000 inhabitans) they don't take me seriously and this causes me to get depressed.
At the moment after that particular occasion I am still living at home with my parents attending university, but I feel offended and I don't feel like I have any particular reason to live here.
What should I do? what would you do in my position? knowing your reputation is forever gone and feeling so down that you don't have any willingness to even try and build a life.
I feel like this today, I feel isolated and without hope for a better future.
I'm considering finishing my university studies and relocating abroad, to build a new life.

Are there any clubs at your university that you could get involved with?
That can be a good way of finding people you have stuff in common with.
I don’t really have a lot of answers. I don’t have any friends in my town, either.

That sounds horrible. Do they act like this to every autistic person they know? Or do they simply don't know any?
Living abroad sounds like a good plan. The world is very big, surely you can find somewhere where people are less ignorant and you can fit in. Also since you will be a foreigner there maybe they will interpret any different behavior as cultural difference.
If i were you i think i would focus on my studies and plan for the future. You definitely don't have to spend your life at that awful place.
To be known as the weird one isn't always as bad. It allows you to act more in the way that you like without getting additional judged for it. Try to improve your body language especially once it comes to show self-confidence, to keep a good mood and to make eyecontact. Test your limits towards other people and improve yourself in handling them. Beside of this make some friends.
That's not a bad idea but you'll miss your town and your friends after a couple of years.

tbh I don't have a single friend in my hometown. I lost all contacts with highschool classmates (happily for me)
I think there is a university club i might join but they are all NTs and just the idea makes me feel uncomfortable.
the only person I see atm is a counselor once a week and I'm always at home studying.
I skip uni classes since other people bother me too much
Well, I don't know your issues and how much on the autism spectrum you are. I would have to see you in real life for helping you. Nevertheless you have to care about this:
Many autists lack self-confidence and show a strange body language. Eye contact is a really important thing that you have to learn. You have to keep a good mood and to feel positive about the opposite before doing it because it causes the opposite to like you. The reason is that their empathy causes them to feel good about you then. Eye contact is the most important step to make friends. I already wrote about it a bit here

This is a difficult situation because the more you are teased/bullied, the more you respond with your behavior and by isolating, and so it goes. Focusing on your studies is a great idea. So is finishing your classes and getting out to see the world. I know it can seem terribly important to have friends, but many of us don't have friends, or very few, and still have good lives.
