When I was a teen I never went through that typical teenager phase. You know the whole "my parents don't know anything"/"oh my gosh, your so annoying" phase.
I definitely went through that phase.
I also went through that phase where everything about my folks, including being seen with them, was very embarrassing.
And that despite having a very good relationship with my mom all my life. I think most people do have those phases though. It's just part of being growing up.
I never lacked understanding of danger like some kids, and I never acted too recklessly.
I was a strange mix of mostly obedient but also did some things I knew I wasn't allowed and kept quiet about it of course, and I could definitely be argumentative and talk back when the mood hit me or I thought something didn't make sense/ felt treated too young etc.
A pretty normal mix actually, I think; at least that the impression I have based on what I've seen and heard.
