I will be going to a neurologist to get help with my auditory processing disorder and autism more generally.

Do you have reason to believe that the neurologist you'll be seeing actually knows very much about autism? Many neurologists don't, alas.

How much does it cost?

My former counselor told me that the insurance only pays for two years of counseling

That's just sitting around talking

"Actions speak louder than words"

Find it hard to imagine that, the insurance will pay for a neurologist

Or anything useful

This neurologist is my best bet. Not a lot of doctors who specialize in autism around here.

Will find out in the beginning of August if he he knows stuff about asd or not.

My insurance pays for doctors and tests and stuff but they dont cover therapies.

I am really hoping that they will be able to help. Other than that I suppose I could meet with an Audiologist.

"beggars can't be choosers"

Depends on how much you pay $$$$

Sometimes the insurance says, you can refuse a provider, but you can't take a different one

If the insurance tells me that I can't get a different psychiatrist, then that is fine with me

The psychiatrist had the nerve ask me mandated reporter screening question eight times in one hour

5150 is a deal breakers

Pretty reasonable

Its not like I demand respect or anything extreme
