Something I need to say is that since joining this site, a big thank you. Prior to joining I used to think that no one understands me or can understand me. I felt totally alone in this. Going through life knowing that I have been different, but unable to explain why has been a very inwardly lonely experience for me. If I did not have such a nice understanding Mum (Who may also be an aspie) and a Dad (Definetely NT) who also loved me even if he didn't undersand me fully (He passed away over a decade ago), and I didn't know God, I don't think I would have survived.
But now, with this site where I have finally met with many of you who understand where I am coming from, and not only understand, but actually know more about myself then I do!, (I have often felt "Wow... how does he or she know that!?") I don't feel alone any more. I mean... To find others who think like me or understand what I am thinking is absolutely amazing! It is such a blessing!
So a big thank you to all of you who have pointed me in the right direction and who have shared so much of lifes experiences. :) Di Iawn!

And likewise, you've helped other people on this site.
You're a good egg, MG.

You're welcome, MountainGoat! You are a very interesting and valuable member of this group. Your experiences are very similar to my own. Without supportive family and friends, I couldn't have made it through some bad times. Keep posting. I'm always interested in what you have to say.

You're a cool guy, Mountain Goat.

I hope you can fix peoples' bikes, and do your model railroading forever.

Or maybe even work as an engineer (there's a shortage of engineers on New Jersey Transit at this moment. The starting salary, once you go through the training, is about $81,000 per year plus overtime. They have a good pension plan, too).

Thanks both. I used to be a guard (Can't remember what an engineer is. Train driver?) I origionally wanted to be one, but I am glad I didn't.

The engineer is the person who drives the trains, yes.
