Possible seizure activity - what does this mean?

Do any of you know what "transient alteration of awareness" means in regards to possible epileptic activity? Diagnosis number is R40.4. I cannot find anything substantial on the internet on it.

I'm guessing it's just a doctor's way of saying, "This could be epilepsy." Because it said it on the authorization of testing.
