Who wants to collaborate on small group formation?

There is another thread I started about forming an adult autistic self-advocacy organization. If someone else knows how to link that to this thread, that would be great.

Mona suggested a free online collaboration tool known as Zulip.com I've created a Zulip group. I'd like to collaborate with anyone who's interested in brainstorming ideas on the best ways to go about forming an adult autism self-advocacy group locally. The goal of this online collaboration will be to form a solid easy to follow inexpensive plan that anyone could implement in their own community to start a group.

If you PM me I can send you the Zulip invite link to join the group. While I will not need your email to give you the link, once you join, I believe Zulip makes emails known to the group members only. As such, I recommend that anyone interested create a new gmail email address like I did. My first name in the new email I created is my WP user name and my last name is also my WP user name: Magna Magna.

I think this collaboration effort will not only be fun, the goal of giving adult autistics the tools they need to start a self-advocacy group in their own community is something worthwhile to be a part of on that basis alone.

So, are we to talk on Zulip instead of here from now on?

No, we can talk here about the basic idea. However, Zulip is geared specifically toward online group collaboration including the ability to upload documents, tag subjects for easy filtering and also for rapid chat. We can use this WP thread to announce meeting dates and times, for example, where we can have actual brainstorming sessions, etc.

Also, those that don't wan't to join the Zulip group could share ideas in this thread and the Zulip group could discuss in-depth.

Does anyone else want to collaborate on devising a template that can be used by anyone who wants to form a small adult autism group in their own community?
