I'm going to be going to a fundraiser dinner with Dean next week and 900 people are going to be there. What should I do? Should I bring some felt pens and an art pad to soothe myself? Should I concentrate on the fact that my best friend will be sitting next to me?

I would bring the felt pens and paper as backup in case the situation becomes too much to deal with. However, try to concentrate on conversation with your friend during the event unless that is not allowed. Some events are just not conversation friendly. When I go to those type of events, I usually work on my theories on a piece of paper. People think I am doodling and it is fine that they think like that. Good luck with the event, I hope it goes well for you.

I'll bring the art as a backup. I was also thinking of bringing a small plush Om Nom.
