it's easy to demonize marijuana, all our lives it's been pounded into our heads that DRUGS ARE BAD. well, remember that alcohol was once illegal in the USA as well. it's more damaging to the body then weed, save for the fact that you have to inhale monoxide to smoke weed, but you can always vaporize it for medicinal use, or eat it, without ill effect.

why can't marijuana just be seen for the alternative medicine that it is?

I don't demonise marijuana. I am happy for the people who benefit from it..I think it should be legal as much as the next person. I for one, am super hyper sensitive to it and just a little toke will send me into hell..and the effects will generally last longer than a day. It is not 100% benign for every person. There are other people (like me) who can't use the stuff..just like there are lots of Aspies who can't touch alcohol....I can drink alcohol. It my be bad for my body. It may cause me to have meltdowns if I drink too much...but it does not punch a big gaping hole in the veneer of semi-sanity that I have worked for years to obtain. It doesn't cause me to have paranoid delusions and make me feel like the world is gonna end any minute the way that weed does.

You can be pro-marijuana and still admit that it is not for everyone.

absolutely. i was making a generalization about the demonization of it.

of course, everything affects everyone differently, and personally i don't think being aspie has anything to do with it. i hear NT's making the same arguments on the effects of marijuana.

i'm just happy-crappy that i have a drug for anxiety that works wonders, plus is FREE for me.
