Hello, I am diagnosed with autism, but I was late diagnosed so I constantly doubt my autism all the time and my ranges for the five categories of personality on the Big Five test were in the same range as what is expected for autistic people except for agreeableness and for openness to experience where I got high. I want routine very much, but I daydream alot, am very artistic and I love poetry so so much. I have always had a very philosophical disposition and have gone on a lot of adventures, many of them were with fellow autistics. I am not sure. I also scored really high on agreeableness, but this is because I am very hyperempathetic, as a now lost friend once described me, but I have alot of trouble trying to show people that I care. I just get overwhelmed with their feelings so much and I do not know how to figure out what they need. I mainly just make the people I care about things like poems or collages and I offer to listen to them. Do you think it is possible for an autistic person to be high on openness to experience and agreeableness, but also to experience alot of anxiety with change or spontaneity and an overwhelming desire while simultaneous failure to actually connect with others?

Here are my scores for the first and second time I took the test after I read this article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4122539/

First time:
Openness to Experience: 83
Conscientiousness: 34
Extraversion: 25
Agreeableness: 70
Natural Reactions (Neuroticism): 97

Then I took it again, realizing that I misinterpreted the questions about leadership and control as having the overwhelming desire to control a situation.

Openness to Experience: 81
Conscientiousness: 29
Extraversion: 19
Agreeableness: 73
Natural Reactions (Neuroticism): 97

I am getting very anxious about this and I feel kind of silly for getting so upset about this and I will probably laugh at myself later, but I do not know. It is making me anxious now.

What are your experiences with the Big Five test?
