I would really like to watch something new and cool about autism.

Which autism related movies have you seen so far? I've seen many of them so I could recommend ones that you have not seen. Also, what services do you have access to to watch movies?

A love story and tragedy. Intense and not autism specific but Tourettes related:

Niagara Niagara

Also not autism specific, but the character exhibits autistic traits. This is one of my favorite movies if you can find it.

"Please Stand By" is my favorite.

There's also a good documentary called Asperger's Are Us about the first and probably only comedy troupe where all its members have Asperger's.

There's also a great movie in Spanish called: The Lighthouse of the Whales.

I've seen all those movies and if there was a channel of only TV shows and movies about autism, I would watch such a thing primarily if not almost exclusively.

I really like Punch-Drunk Love. Adam Sandler's best performance, nothing like his other movies. They never actually say he has ASD, but you get that he does. It's definitely more on the romance side, but the cinematography, camera angles, and soundtrack I feel shows what we go through every day.

Both over 10 years old, but I liked "Mozart and the Whale" and "Ben X".

I also consider the 1986 movie "The Boy Who Could Fly" an underrated classic, but it could just be the nostalgia talking.

The Odd Way Home is another one.

How could I forget Mary and Max???

Did anyone see Autism: The Musical?

The movie, Yesterday seems like it has an aspie as a main character. The man is very obsessed with The Beatles to the point that they're his special interest. He's always looking at images of both The Beatles and beetles.
