You may want to consider consulting an appropriately-trained and licensed mental-health professional.

Well, you’re not articulating that fear in a manner that would lead me to believe it’s true.

Would an IQ test conducted by a trained professional be possible for you to arrange?

I think I might have fragile-x syndrome.

Was just thinking I have had a professional IQ test when I was 13:
they can be counter-intuitive: in many respects I can be thick as a brick, but the paper says 136/142, apparently I’m very good at patterns and words. (He tested for both separately, hence the two numbers).

Why do you think you have fragile X?

I might have some symptoms of fragile x, such as long ears and dyslexia.

Many people have long ears, are dyslexic, and don’t have fragile-x.

You are not intellectually disabled.

One of the happiest couples I ever met barely had 100 IQ points between them.

You mean … PUT TOGETHER...they were as smart as one average person?

I believe it though... that that was the case, and that that didn't stop them from being happy. :D

No, they couldn't apply a combined intelligence; they just muddled through, not thinking the other was stupid. They were in love because they matched so well.

there’s been times where I’ve felt that way too, but I’ve been assured that I don’t.

How did you overcome those feelings?
